CORPTECH advises the founders of Patchmanager on the acquisition of Patchmanager by i-doit

i-doit and Patchmanager, two complementary providers of infrastructure software, have joined forces. With Patchmanager becoming part of the i-doit group, the combination creates a stronger international software group with comprehensive capabilities across logical IT operations, physical infrastructure management, and digital resilience.

 

CORPTECH assisted Patchmanager’s founders on the sale of their shares to i-doit. 


Patchmanager and i-doit

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Amsterdam, Patchmanager provides infrastructure management software that enables customers to plan, document, manage, and maintain physical layer connectivity and assets. Its solution is used to model and monitor data centers, office and building networks, and outside plant environments. With a modern, scalable product and over 300 customers worldwide, Patchmanager serves a diversified blue-chip client base across sectors including financial institutions, universities, airports, (semi-) government, and industrial companies. Since Main’s investment in July 2023, Patchmanager has enhanced its recurring revenue share and quality of revenue, while maintaining double digit recurring growth and further professionalizing the organization.

i-doit, founded in 1996 and headquartered in Düsseldorf, offers software solutions for documenting, managing and operating IT infrastructure and ISMS. The company’s portfolio spans CMDB and IT documentation, asset and infrastructure management, as well as solutions for information security, business continuity, and regulatory compliance. Serving around 2,000 customers, primarily in the DACH region, the i-doit group supports organizations across various sectors and regulated industries in managing increasingly complex, interconnected, and mission-critical IT and infrastructure landscapes.

The acquisition of Patchmanager marks an important milestone in i-doit’s ambition to build a leading European software group for IT infrastructure, IT operations and digital resilience The i-doit group combines strong expertise in logical IT documentation, IT operations and ISMS, while Patchmanager adds capabilities for physical infrastructure and connectivity management.
